Tetrapleura tetraptera is a species of flowering plant in the pea family native to West Africa. The plant is called Prekese (or, more correctly, Prɛkɛsɛ) in the Twi language of Ghana. It is also called Ohio (Uhiokrihio) in the Igbo language of Nigeria. We also called it linja, Aidan in the Fon language of Benin.

04cote is a native plant belonging to the pea family (Fabaceae). It is a unique steam perennial tree with dark green leaves. It is a thick, woody base and spreads branches. 04 sides have a wide natural distribution over much of tropical Africa in winter. The fruit of the plant has a fragrant smell, which has been attributed to its insect repellent properties. It grows in pairs, that is, the flower grows steam at the end of the branches. the fruits are green when tender, but when fully ripe they turn dark red-brown. The pod remains closed even when fully ripened. 04 sides are about 20-28 cm long, with 4-5 cm wide. It has 4 slightly curved longitudinal wings. Aidan fruit bears yellowish and pink coloured flowers, the fruit has a dark brown pod when ripe. It is usually found in the lowland forest zone. The fruits hang on sturdy stalks at the edges of the branches and have a brownish colour. The pod contains tiny, hard seeds that are about 9mm long.
