PARSLEY VIRTUES

 

Definition

Parsley is a biennial plant with white flowers and aromatic leaves which are either crinkly or flat and are used as a culinary herb and for garnishing food. It is coming from the Mediterranean region of southern Italy, Algeria, and Tunisia. It is scientifically known as Petroselinum Hortense and Petroselinum crispum. 

It can be eaten in many different ways, like garnishing, salads, stocks, and sandwiches. Both the leaf and the root are used in Mediterranean and European cuisines. The leaf is further divided into two more types: curly leaf and flat-leaf or Italian parsley.
